Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.64%

Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.64%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Y/KNOT Invest SA (AT:YKNOTr), which rose 3.52% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) added 2.50% or 1.40 points to end at 57.50 and Lamda Development SA (AT:LMDr) was up 2.20% or 0.13 points to 6.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:HEPr), which fell 5.86% or 1.06 points to trade at 17.04 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) declined 5.80% or 3.90 points to end at 63.35 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 3.59% or 0.27 points to 7.25.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 68 to 41 and 24 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.79% or 69.75 to $3,968.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 6.48% or 6.75 to hit $97.37 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 6.49% or 7.36 to trade at $106.07 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 101.56.
