Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.40%

Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.40% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Lumo Kodit Oyj (HE:LUMO), which rose 2.94% or 0.21 points to trade at 7.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 2.12% or 0.34 points to end at 16.41 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) was up 1.49% or 0.29 points to 19.76 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Hiab Oyj (HE:HIAB), which fell 11.70% or 6.15 points to trade at 46.40 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCRA) declined 7.75% or 2.22 points to end at 26.44 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was down 5.74% or 0.93 points to 15.27.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 125 to 59 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.74% or 0.93 to 15.27.

Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.66% or 4.14 to $117.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 3.61% or 3.59 to hit $103.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 43.10 to trade at $4,017.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 101.61.
