Why is Elis stock climbing today?

Elis SA stock climbed 2.7% to trade at €22.74 after the company published a strong third-quarter revenue update after Wednesday’s market close, sending shares higher when Paris trading resumed on Thursday.

The French circular services group reported Q3 revenue of €1,323.9 million, a 6.1% year-over-year increase on a reported basis, with organic growth accelerating to 3.5% from 3.2% in the prior quarter, acquisitions contributing 1.5 percentage points, and a favourable currency effect of 1.1%.

Alongside the revenue figures, management reaffirmed all 2026 financial objectives, projecting adjusted EBITDA and EBIT margins to improve slightly, free cash flow to grow at a mid-single-digit rate, and diluted headline net income per share to expand at a high-single-digit rate.

Chairman of the Management Board Xavier Martiré attributed the performance to investments in sales force effectiveness and the "gradual rollout of major contracts signed in the first half," which contributed to the sequential improvement in organic growth.

Investors also drew comfort from the stabilisation of Mexico headwinds, where volume losses from the federal healthcare system reorganisation showed no further deterioration since June.

The broader market provided a mixed backdrop on the day, with U.S. equities diverging — the Dow Jones edging higher while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq traded lower — offering no strong directional tailwind for European equities.

Nonetheless, Elis’s company-specific catalyst was compelling enough to override the subdued macro environment, with the stock hitting a session high of €22.84 and opening well above the prior close of €22.14.

Taken together, the acceleration in organic growth, the broad-based commercial momentum across all geographies, and the unambiguous reaffirmation of full-year targets gave investors a clear fundamental reason to re-rate the stock higher, pushing it comfortably off its 52-week low of €20.88 and reinforcing the constructive consensus view that has persisted among analysts covering the name.
