SUSS Q3 orders reach €223.5m, beating forecasts
SUSS reported third-quarter orders of €223.5 million, surpassing analyst forecasts of €185 million. The company’s order backlog increased to €601 million.
The strong order performance was driven by coating solutions, with a repeat order of approximately €50 million from a Taiwanese outsourced semiconductor assembly and test provider. A second OSAT also placed a large order during the quarter. Orders showed strength across multiple product lines, including mask aligners and temporary bonders.
Third-quarter revenue came in at €97 million, below the €115 million forecast. The company attributed the shortfall to supply chain bottlenecks that affected delivery timing.
SUSS posted a gross margin of 36.5% for the quarter, above the 35.3% consensus estimate. The EBIT margin was 4.2%, compared to analyst expectations of 8.9%.
For the fourth quarter, the company expects revenue of around €116 million at the midpoint. The transfer of mask aligner production from Garching to Zhubei is expected to impact results.
SUSS revised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to €405-425 million from a previous range of €425-485 million. The consensus estimate stood at €442 million. The company maintained its gross margin guidance of 35-37% at the midpoint and EBIT margin guidance of 5-7%.
