Oerlikon reported third quarter 2026 results that exceeded analyst expectations.

The company’s group order intake reached CHF458 million, surpassing the company-collected consensus of CHF437 million and UBS estimates of CHF455 million. This represented organic year-over-year growth of 15%.

Group sales totaled CHF421 million, above the consensus estimate of CHF407 million and UBS projections of CHF401 million, marking organic growth of 10% year-over-year.

The Coating Services segment recorded order intake of CHF158 million, slightly above UBS estimates of CHF153 million, with year-over-year growth of 8%. Sales in this segment reached CHF156 million compared to UBS estimates of CHF153 million, showing organic sales growth of 6.7%.

The Materials & Equipment business posted order intake of CHF191 million, below UBS estimates of CHF196 million, but still achieving year-over-year growth of 31%. This growth was supported by raw material price increases and favorable mix in Aviation and Energy sectors. Sales in this segment came in at CHF157 million, well above UBS estimates of CHF137 million, with organic sales growth of 21.4%.

The Components segment recorded order intake of CHF110 million, exceeding UBS estimates of CHF107 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 7%. Sales reached CHF108 million, slightly below UBS estimates of CHF111 million, with organic growth of 1.2%.

Third quarter sales growth was driven by the Aviation, Energy, and General Industry end-markets. The Luxury and Tooling sectors stabilized, while Automotive remained weak.

Oerlikon confirmed its full-year 2026 guidance of mid-single-digit organic growth and operating EBITDA margin of 18.5% to 19.5%. Current Refinitiv consensus estimates stand at CHF1,618 million in sales and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 19%.
