Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.07%

Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.07%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 3.42% or 0.76 points to trade at 22.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) added 1.78% or 0.18 points to end at 10.30 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 1.62% or 0.11 points to 6.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR), which fell 3.16% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.94 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 1.19% or 0.07 points to end at 5.41 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 1.05% or 0.05 points to 4.69.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.

Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.19% or 0.07 to 5.41.

Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.30% or 3.74 to $116.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 3.37% or 3.35 to hit $102.82 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.05% or 42.45 to trade at $4,017.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 101.61.
