Indonesia stocks higher at close of trade; IDX Composite Index up 1.96%

Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 1.96%.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Saranacentral Bajatama Tbk (JK:BAJA), which rose 34.72% or 50.00 points to trade at 194.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Trisula Textile Industries Tbk PT (JK:BELL) added 34.55% or 19.00 points to end at 74.00 and Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) was up 33.33% or 8.00 points to 32.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cakra Buana Resources Energi PT Tbk (JK:CBRE), which fell 9.95% or 44.00 points to trade at 398.00 at the close. Hassana Boga Sejahtera PT Tbk (JK:NAYZ) declined 9.68% or 6.00 points to end at 56.00 and Leyand International Tbk (JK:LAPD) was down 9.09% or 4.00 points to 40.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 487 to 232 and 111 ended unchanged.

Shares in Cakra Buana Resources Energi PT Tbk (JK:CBRE) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.95% or 44.00 to 398.00. Shares in Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) rose to 3-years highs; up 33.33% or 8.00 to 32.00. Shares in Leyand International Tbk (JK:LAPD) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.09% or 4.00 to 40.00.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.11% or 0.10 to $88.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.53% or 0.50 to hit $95.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.48% or 60.35 to trade at $4,133.35 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was down 0.24% to 18,067.80, while AUD/IDR fell 0.24% to 12,685.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 101.29.
