Indonesia stocks lower at close of trade; IDX Composite Index down 3.83%

Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Financials and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 3.83% to hit a new 5-year low.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT), which rose 28.57% or 4.00 points to trade at 18.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tempo Inti Media Tbk (JK:TMPO) added 27.59% or 48.00 points to end at 222.00 and Artha Mahiya Investama Tbk PT (JK:AIMS) was up 24.49% or 119.00 points to 605.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Anugerah Spareparts Sejahtera PT Tbk (JK:AEGS), which fell 10.00% or 4.00 points to trade at 36.00 at the close. Indo Boga Sukses Tbk PT (JK:IBOS) declined 10.00% or 6.00 points to end at 54.00 and Graha Mitra Asia Tbk PT (JK:RELF) was down 10.00% or 3.00 points to 27.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 721 to 56 and 56 ended unchanged.

Shares in Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 28.57% or 4.00 to 18.00. Shares in Anugerah Spareparts Sejahtera PT Tbk (JK:AEGS) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.00% or 4.00 to 36.00. Shares in Graha Mitra Asia Tbk PT (JK:RELF) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.00% or 3.00 to 27.00.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.52% or 1.47 to $97.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.69% or 1.77 to hit $106.54 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.31% or 52.10 to trade at $3,917.50 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was up 0.47% to 18,157.60, while AUD/IDR fell 0.19% to 12,667.16.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 101.59.
