But how does the AI pick stocks?

One of the coolest features of our AI model is that it not only selects stocks but also explains to InvestingPro members why it made those choices, helping with their decision-making process.

Our AI models provide the same detailed rationale for every stock they select or remove, so members know exactly what the data showed at the time.

By applying investor-grade financial research and machine-learning models to more than 60,000 stocks worldwide, ProPicks AI finds the companies where fundamentals and growth outlook point to outsized moves before the broader market catches on. Every pick comes with the rationale behind it, so members know exactly what the data showed at the time.

MediaTek (TWSE:2454) was flagged in April right before the stock surged over +169%, fueled by a historic $3.5 billion investment from Nvidia for NVLink Fusion integration and major new design contracts for Google’s next-gen TPUs that project data-center AI revenues to reach $12 billion by 2027.

Again, when our machine learning engine flagged MediaTek, it identified a market leader pairing accelerating AI growth with a compelling valuation setup following a sharp pullback.

Here’s what the models identified ahead of the rebound:

  • Deep Valuation Discount Post-Pullback: Despite a ~23% one-month drop to ~1,390 TWD, MediaTek trades at roughly half of the analyst consensus target (~2,095 TWD), prompting fresh Buy upgrades from Goldman Sachs, Macquarie, and Nomura with targets up to 2,400 TWD.
  • Accelerating AI & Data Center Expansion: Full-year revenue grew ~12%, with custom AI chip revenue on track to surpass $1 billion in 2026 as the company captures share in a $50B–$70B enterprise data center market.
  • High-Impact Strategic Partnerships: Active collaborations with industry titans Nvidia and Google provide significant momentum across custom silicon and edge AI deployments.
  • Share Gains in Core Smartphone Market: The company continues to win mobile market share from Qualcomm across the global Android ecosystem, solidifying its baseline revenue drivers.
  • Diversified Growth Pipelines: Expanding product lines in high-margin automotive and IoT segments open powerful secondary catalysts, turning the recent market noise into a compelling entry point.

Our AI models provide the same detailed rationale for every stock they select or remove, so members know exactly what the data showed at the time.

That disciplined process has helped ProPicks AI’s flagship strategy return a massive +163.51% since launch in November 2023, outperforming the S&P 500 by an impressive +85.47% over the same period.

Banking the gains on one of ProPicks AI’s biggest ever global wins

Knowing when to rotate is just as important as knowing what to buy. Kingboard Holdings (SEHK:148) is a prime example of how the monthly rebalance process works every month. First selected in February 2025, when the electronics industry was coming off a brutal multi-year down cycle, the data pointed to tightening laminate supply, AI server demand beginning to accelerate, and a vertically integrated operator with massive pricing leverage once demand turned.

Kingboard is one of the world’s largest producers of FR-4 laminate — the base of the vast majority of printed circuit boards on the planet — and also makes the copper foil, glass fabric, and epoxy resin that go into it. Every server rack going into every data centre being built right now runs on materials like these.

Product price increases driven by copper cost pressure and tightening glass cloth supply — powered the stock’s extraordinary run. Then came a $1.5 billion stake sale in its laminate subsidiary, with capital earmarked for PCB capacity expansion and R&D, and a further price hike that pushed cumulative gains for the year past 50%.

From the February 2025 entry to July exit, Kingboard compounded an enormous +495.45% return for members.

Why the models just rotated out

The same data discipline that identified Kingboard in February 2025 flagged the exit now. Here is what changed:

  • Valuation Stretched: After an extraordinary run of roughly +390% over the past year, the stock’s P/E has pushed to approximately 30x — well above the Hong Kong electronics sector average of around 18x, leaving little margin for any fundamental disappointment.
  • Underlying Growth Slowing: Revenue growth has moderated to roughly 5%, and EBITDA has actually declined approximately 7% recently — making the current multiple increasingly difficult to justify against the pace of earnings delivery.
  • Momentum Cooling: The stock fell approximately 7% last week and is now trading roughly 22% below its 52-week high, with early signs of momentum deterioration showing up in the monthly ranking process.
  • Institutional Signals: The recent Laminates stake sale was executed at an approximately 11.5% discount to market — a data point the models weigh as a signal of near-term caution from sophisticated holders.

Kingboard’s AI-driven pricing power and the long-term PCB capacity story remain strong; however, the exit was a rotation looking for better value, not a bearish call on the business.

Since the exit, the stock has fallen 62.03% — sliding back toward $44. Yet ProPick’s AI members already had the call to sell.

That same process now drives every monthly ProPicks AI rebalance.

With November’s rebalance now here, the ProPicks AI models have just identified the next group of stocks showing similar momentum and underlying strength before the market catches on.

How Investing.com’s AI-Powered Stock Picker Works

At the beginning of each month, our proprietary AI system evaluates thousands of global equities using a complex blend of historical data, valuation signals, and forward-looking growth metrics.

By processing more than 15 years of financial data across more than 150 quantitative models, the engine identifies up to 20 high-conviction stocks per strategy based on their projected medium-term upside potential.

Every month, these strategies undergo a strict rebalancing process. New opportunities are added, strong performers are retained, and stocks that no longer meet the criteria are removed.

To consistently track performance, each strategy utilizes equal weighting across all selected stocks. While investors are free to adjust their own allocations, this structure provides a transparent benchmark for evaluating overall model performance.

The goal is to keep capital positioned in the companies showing the strongest combination of momentum, valuation, and business performance.
