Nasdaq sank -5.3%, but these AI strategies surged up to +9.3% in October

Investing.com — Markets gave passive index holders little to celebrate in October as the S&P 500 fell -1.1% and the Nasdaq sank -5.3%. Although there was a massive sector rotation out of AI stocks and into “old economy,” cash-flow-driven defensive sectors, even the Dow managed to gain just +1.7%.

But it was a far different story for true stock pickers. In fact, for October alone, several ProPicks AI strategies crushed their benchmarks—with Dominate the Dow adding +5.5%, Mid-Cap Movers jumping +7.3%, and the Best of Buffett strategy surging +9.3%.

Just a day after a brand new list for November dropped over the weekend, several fresh picks, including Intapp (NASDAQGS:INTA) and CONMED (NYSE:CNMD), among many more, have already jumped over +5%. But it was a high-conviction call on an under-the-radar mid-cap HR solutions provider that, after adding another +5.09% following its recent Q3 results, has pushed its rally since being picked in July to +27.59%.

Here are just a few of the early moves premium members have been positioned ahead of in November:

  • Intapp (NASDAQGS:INTA): +6.68% in Nov alone — Pushed higher after topping Q1 expectations with adjusted EPS of $0.44 and 16% year-over-year revenue growth to $161.26 million, propelled by accelerating enterprise adoption of its Celeste AI platform and steady compliance software demand.
  • TransDigm (NYSE:TDG): +5.83% in Nov alone — Advanced on sustained commercial aftermarket momentum, margin durability from recent proprietary component acquisitions, and favorable technical strength as shares broke above their 50-day moving average ahead of upcoming Q4 results.
  • CONMED (NYSE:CNMD): +5.19% in Nov alone — Rebounded following a Q3 adjusted earnings beat of $1.04 per share, underpinned by 6.7% organic constant-currency growth across its Orthopedic and General Surgery franchises and an upward revision to full-year adjusted EPS guidance.
  • Stryker (NYSE:SYK): +5.12% in Nov alone (+12.4% since picked) — Climbed as dip-buyers stepped in following its late-October earnings reset, supported by resilient 7.7% organic sales growth, improving operating margins, and continuing procedural volume gains across international medtech and surgical markets.

But the gains don’t stop with this month. Here are some of the longer-term rallies members are still riding since their stocks were first selected:

  • Delek US Holdings (NYSE:DK): +87.14% since picked
  • Nucor (NYSE:NUE): +74.8% since picked
  • Consensus Cloud Solutions (NASDAQGS:CCSI): +68.4% since picked

Which under-the-radar HR play is now up more than 27% since being picked?

That stock is TriNet Group (NYSE:TNET). Instead of relying purely on raw client headcount growth, TriNet is shifting focus toward margin optimization and premium embedded HR software—a strategic pivot designed to stabilize its core economics through high-stakes health-plan repricing.

Last quarter, TriNet delivered total revenues of $1.18 billion and an adjusted EPS of $0.94, smashing consensus estimates by more than 56%. With its insurance cost ratio correcting back into the healthy 89% target range and new-sales contract value returning to positive growth, management now expects full-year adjusted EPS to hit the high end of its $4.50 to $5.10 guidance range.

What our models identified in TriNet Group before the jump

Our machine learning engine flagged TriNet Group due to its rebounding value, growth catalysts, and cash strength.

Here is what the ML engine saw before the move:

  • Rebounding Value: The stock is trading at just ~65% of its 52-week high, yet InvestingPro estimates its fair value at $73, implying nearly 50% upside from current levels.
  • Growth Catalysts: Growth is accelerating across multiple fronts—HR Plus just surpassed 40,000 users, a new AI assistant has already cut service contacts by 6%, and the Cocoon acquisition adds a compelling leave-management capability.
  • Cash Strength: The company generated $123 million in free cash flow last quarter, returned ~$71 million to shareholders, and just raised its dividend (~2.5% yield), all pointing to a financially resilient business quietly rebuilding for the next leg up.

Our AI models provide the same detailed rationale for every stock they select or remove, so members know exactly what the data showed at the time.

Backed by professional-grade financial intelligence, our monthly-updated list of tech picks has absolutely crushed the broader market, posting a +163.51% return since launching in November 2023. That is an incredible +85.47% outperformance over the benchmark S&P 500.

*These are real-world numbers, recorded since the official launch of our AI models in November 2023.

That is the power of moving out of overextended names and finding fresh value before the crowd does. The work for October is done, and the next cycle has already begun.

How the AI Stock Picker Works

At the beginning of each month, our proprietary AI system evaluates thousands of global equities using a complex blend of historical data, valuation signals, and forward-looking growth metrics.

By processing more than 15 years of financial data across more than 150 quantitative models, the engine identifies up to 20 high-conviction stocks per strategy based on their projected medium-term upside potential.

Every month, these strategies undergo a strict rebalancing process. New opportunities are added, strong performers are retained, and stocks that no longer meet the criteria are removed.

To consistently track performance, each strategy utilizes equal weighting across all selected stocks. While investors are free to adjust their own allocations, this structure provides a transparent benchmark for evaluating overall model performance.

The objective is to systematically reposition capital toward the strongest opportunities as market conditions evolve.
