Vistry stock climbs on new CFO appointment

Vistry Group (LON:VTY) shares rose 3.7% after the homebuilder announced the appointment of Helen Miles as Chief Financial Officer and executive director, with Miles expected to join the board during 2027.

Miles currently serves as CFO of FTSE100 water company Severn Trent PLC, a position she has held since July 2023. She joined Severn Trent in November 2014 as Chief Commercial Officer and became Capital and Commercial Services Director in 2020.

Prior to Severn Trent, Miles held CFO positions at HomeServe Plc and Openreach, part of BT Group. She has also worked at Bass Taverns, Barclays Bank, and Compass Group. Miles currently serves as a non-executive director of Breedon Group.

The appointment follows a comprehensive internal and external selection process led by the Chair. Vistry also announced that Robert Allen has been appointed as interim CFO and joins the board with immediate effect. Allen will remain in the role until Miles arrives in 2027.

Rob Woodward, Non-Executive Chair of Vistry, said Helen is a high caliber finance and business executive who will work with the board and leadership team to maximize the strengths of the group’s mixed tenure partnership model.

Chief Executive Officer Adam Daniels said Miles’ appointment further strengthens the quality of the executive leadership, with their focus on delivering recently announced plans.
