Street Calls of The Week

Each day below shows the rating change that coincided with the largest close-to-close move. Moves were measured from daily bars (close versus the prior close). Every one of these stocks also had earnings or news that day, so the rating change is a co-driver rather than the sole cause. Only stocks with a rating change found for that day were measured. Other calls may have moved more.

Monday, Nov 2: Inovio upgrade

Analysts upgraded Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) to Buy after FDA approval of its first product, INO-3107 (Voceryq). The stock closed at $1.89 from $0.6024, a +213.7% move on heavy volume. The FDA decision was the main driver. The coverage notes Jefferies moved to Buy from Hold with a $3.00 target (up from $1.80), while H.C. Wainwright reiterated Neutral at $2.50.

The stock then gave much of that back. It closed Friday at $1.215, which is 36% below Monday’s close.

A notable contrast:Goldman Sachs cut Floor & Decor (FND) to Sell, yet the stock rose 3.3% that day to $49.14.

Tuesday, Nov 3: Ibotta upgrade

Goldman Sachs upgraded Ibotta (IBTA) to Neutral from Sell and raised its target to $58 from $35. The stock closed at $60.35 from $50.07, up +20.5%. The move followed Q3 results, which Goldman said show the platform transition gaining traction.

Runner-up was a downgrade. Rosenblatt cut ADTRAN (ADTN) on telco exposure, and the stock fell -19.4% to $5.06.

Wednesday, Nov 4: Amdocs downgrade

Oppenheimer downgraded Amdocs (DOX) after the company guided fiscal 2027 revenue and profit sharply lower, citing a dispute with T-Mobile. The stock closed at $43.66 from $62.43, down -30.1%. That is the week’s steepest one-day drop outside Friday. Q4 results themselves met expectations, so the guidance did the damage.

Thursday, Nov 5: LegalZoom downgrade

BofA downgraded LegalZoom (LZ) on AI pressure and cut its target to $6. The stock closed at $5.955 from $6.90, down -13.7%. It fell another 12.1% on Friday to $5.24. Q3 revenue was $195.14M, a slight beat. Adjusted EPS of $0.19 missed the $0.20 forecast, and EBITDA guidance was cut.

Daily moves for the other Thursday calls, such as Freedom Broker on Black Hills, were not measured.

Friday, Nov 6: NerdWallet downgrade

William Blair cut NerdWallet (NRDS) to Market Perform. The stock closed at $7.89 from $11.43, down -31.0% as of Nov 6, 3:59 PM EST. That is the week’s largest single-day move among the rating calls measured. The Q3 miss was the catalyst, with EPS of $0.23 against $0.34 expected and revenue of $239.6M against $251.89M.

Friday’s biggest upside moves were Sylvamo (SLVM) at +19.1%, Centrus Energy (LEU) at +17.5% on a Roth/MKM upgrade, and SiTime (SITM) at +17.4% on a Seaport upgrade. BofA’s Sylvamo upgrade came Wednesday, though the stock’s jump came Friday. |

  • Downgrades hit hardest when paired with guidance cuts. Amdocs and NerdWallet each fell about 30%, as the rating change followed the bad news.
  • Rallies can fade quickly. Inovio and ADTRAN both gave back much of their moves by Friday, and LegalZoom fell on consecutive days.

Prices are daily closes as of Nov 6, 2026 EST. Daily moves are close versus the prior close. They are not intraday peaks.
