Geberit maintains 2026 outlook as nine-month sales edge above estimates

Geberit AG (SIX:GEBN) reported higher nine-month sales on Tuesday strong volumes, although earnings were marginally below analyst expectations as higher costs weighed on profitability.

The Swiss sanitary products maker reported net sales of CHF2.54 billion for the first nine months of 2026, up 3.6% year on year in Swiss franc terms and 5.7% after adjusting for currency movements. Revenue slightly exceeded the AWP analyst consensus of CHF2.53 billion.

EBITDA increased 3.3% to CHF778 million, narrowly missing the CHF779 million consensus estimate. The EBITDA margin stood at 30.7%, compared with 30.8% a year earlier. Earnings per share rose 8.1% to CHF16.23, or 9.6% after currency adjustments.

Geberit said the first nine months were marked by significant volume growth, higher direct material and energy prices, sales price increases and substantial currency losses. Operating margins remained broadly in line with the previous year as the company sought to offset rising input costs through pricing adjustments.

The results follow a strong second quarter, when Geberit reported local-currency sales growth of 5.9%. Ahead of the latest release, analysts had expected growth to moderate in the third quarter, partly reflecting a tougher comparison with the previous year.

For 2026, management reiterated its expectations for net sales growth of 5% to 6% in local currencies and an EBITDA margin around the previous year's level. Geberit's EBITDA margin was 29.4% in 2025.

The company operates in the sanitary technology market, supplying plumbing, piping and bathroom products for residential and commercial buildings.
