Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.50%

Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 3.41% or 0.85 points to trade at 25.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.81% or 0.12 points to end at 6.97 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was up 1.50% or 0.21 points to 14.23 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 15.65% or 0.70 points to trade at 3.79 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 3.38% or 1.10 points to end at 31.42 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) was down 2.28% or 0.43 points to 18.46.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 104 to 76 and 17 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.77% or 0.76 to $97.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 0.28 to hit $90.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 37.85 to trade at $4,075.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 102.03.
