Man with knife arrested near set of ‘Miami Vice ’85’ film starring Michael B. Jordan
A man was arrested Friday night near the Brooklyn set of “Miami Vice ’85,” a film starring Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler.
Alex Perez, 23, of Brooklyn, was arrested just after 11 p.m. on accusations that he displayed a knife during a verbal dispute with another man in the area of Avenue N and McDonald Avenue, the New York City Police Department said.
“The individual was then taken into custody without incident, and the knife was recovered,” the NYPD said.
No one was injured.
Perez was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. It was not immediately clear if he has retained an attorney.
At the time, “Miami Vice ’85,” a reboot of the beloved undercover detective drama, was filming along Bay Parkway and McDonald Avenue, near Washington Cemetery. Joseph Kosinski is directing the film.
