Family desperate as DNA confirms wig found near crash site belongs to missing mom
Christina Munn-Holiday vanished after a mysterious car crash took place on a bridge
DNA testing has confirmed that a wig found near the crash site belonged to Christina Munn-Holiday, a 22-year-old mother who has been missing since September 30.
The result, reported on October 27, came almost a month after she vanished.
Munn-Holiday disappeared after a car crash on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge in Iberville Parish, Louisiana, USA.
Her grey BMW was abandoned on the bridge, and the crash took place in the early hours of the morning while she was traveling to the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area.
The day before, she left her 4-year-old son with her parents in Katy, Texas.

Louisiana State Police arrived at the crash scene and found the occupants of the second vehicle, while hers was abandoned.
Witnesses said a woman matching her description walked away from the scene. Her phone briefly pinged in the area before it was apparently turned off.
Authorities found the wig weeks before the DNA test confirmed it belonged to Christina.
On October 23, the cops arrested Sandrea Davis, 21, charging her with reckless operation with accident in connection with the initial crash.
Authorities said this arrest is strictly related to the traffic collision, not the ongoing missing person case.

The family has now launched a GoFundMe to help support their search for the missing mother.
Keisha Hopkins said: “Our family is asking for help as we continue searching for Christian “Chrissy” Munn Holliday, a 22-year-old young woman who went missing following an accident on I-10 near mile marker 128 on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge in Louisiana.
“This GoFundMe was created with the full permission and support of Chrissy’s parents, Lareshia and Robert Munn.
“Her family has been traveling back and forth between Texas and Louisiana, speaking with law enforcement, checking hospitals, following leads, visiting locations connected to the case, and doing everything possible to find her.
“They are now in need of 3,000 to pay the Private Investigator.
“Chrissy is so much more than a missing person. She is a mother, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin, and friend who is deeply loved by so many.
“Most importantly, she is a devoted mother to a 4-year-old son who is her entire world, and her family is desperate to bring her home to him.
“There are still many unanswered questions surrounding what happened after the accident.
“Another vehicle was involved, and the individuals connected to that vehicle and the circumstances surrounding the crash are among the areas being looked into as the family continues seeking answers.
“We are following every lead and working to understand exactly what happened to Chrissy after the crash.
“We now need additional resources to continue this search. Donations will help with hiring a private investigator, retaining an attorney, lodging, gas, transportation, meals, and other expenses associated with traveling between Texas and Louisiana.
“These costs are growing quickly, but Chrissy’s family cannot stop searching. Their focus remains the same: finding their daughter and bringing her home to her little boy and the family who loves her.”
