Zura Bio shares jump on Wedbush buy call ahead of trial data
Zura Bio Ltd shares rose as much as 22% on Tuesday, marking the stock’s largest intraday gain since January 21. The move followed comments from Wedbush analysts who said they are buying the stock before trial results for the company’s experimental drug to treat hidradenitis suppurativa, a skin disease.
Wedbush analysts Martin Fan and Abigail Lau stated they would be aggressive buyers while the stock remains below $4 per share. The analysts see favorable risk and reward for the fourth quarter 2026 TibuSHIELD readout, citing downside protection at around $3 per share based on a cash position of approximately $1.50 per share plus a roughly $2 per share valuation in systemic sclerosis.
The analysts noted that results are possible in November based on the trial exceeding its enrollment targets as of June 26. They anticipate upside above $20 per share should tibulizumab show efficacy above an apparent limit for monotherapies in hidradenitis suppurativa.
Wedbush maintained its outperform rating on Zura Bio with a price target of $22.
