Why is Revvity stock surging today?

Revvity stock surged 8.8% in pre-open trading today after the Waltham, Massachusetts-based life sciences company posted third-quarter 2026 results that topped Wall Street forecasts on every major metric.

Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.37, beating the analyst consensus of $1.30 by $0.07, while revenue reached $729 million — well above the $694.72 million estimate and representing roughly 10% growth year-over-year.

Beyond the headline beat, management raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now projecting pro forma adjusted EPS of $5.40–$5.45 (with a midpoint above the prior consensus of $5.35) and pro forma revenue of approximately $2.86 billion, with organic revenue growth of around 5%.

The Life Sciences segment was a particular highlight, delivering pro forma revenue growth of 11% and pro forma organic revenue growth of 9% compared to the same period a year ago, while the company’s operating margin expanded to 13.1% from 11.7% in the prior-year quarter.

CEO Prahlad Singh stated that "broad-based growth and strong execution drove results meaningfully ahead of our expectations." The company also announced an Investor Day scheduled for November 13, offering an additional near-term catalyst for investor engagement.

The broader market provided little in the way of a tailwind today, with the S&P 500 essentially flat, the Dow Jones modestly lower, and the Nasdaq only marginally higher — underscoring that the move in RVTY was driven entirely by company-specific news rather than sector or macro momentum.

TD Cowen had previously raised its price target on the stock to $175 in mid-October, establishing a constructive analyst backdrop heading into the print.

Taken together, a decisive earnings beat, a raised full-year outlook, accelerating segment-level growth, and a supportive analyst setup combined to push Revvity shares toward their 52-week high of $169.06, reflecting renewed confidence in the company’s ability to sustain its recovery trajectory through the remainder of 2026.
