Which AI stocks could rally on a strong Anthropic IPO debut?
Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI, filed for its widely anticipated initial public offering (IPO) on Monday, giving investors their first detailed look at its finances.
The S-1 filing, which starts the clock on what is expected to be one of the largest IPOs ever, shows revenue surged 1,300% in the first half of the year to $16.3 billion, driven by booming demand for its Claude family of AI products. It also reveals massive computing costs and deep losses.
Anthropic plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker "ANT" and is expected to target a debut during Thanksgiving week. The listing would come ahead of rival OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, which Anthropic’s founders left five years ago to start their own company.
The filing also carries implications for the companies Anthropic has signed contracts with, which are not simply “AI stocks.” A strong debut would mark up equity stakes and strengthen the case for the spending commitments tied to those deals.
These are scenarios, not forecasts. (, Oct 6, 2026).
Tier 1: Direct Stakeholders and Chip Suppliers
- Alphabet A (GOOGL) is paid three ways. It earns cloud revenue and TPU demand, and it holds an equity stake capped at 14.99%. It also has a $20B financing line and a $10B IPO purchase option. One analysis described it as arguably the most underappreciated beneficiary, since the stock rose only about 0.2% on filing day (Read more, Oct 27, 2026). The stock closed at $316.80 on Oct 26 and is down 6.9% over one week.
- Broadcom (AVGO) is the most direct chip play. About $161.2B of Broadcom TPU leases tie to Anthropic, and Broadcom is lending up to $42B toward them. The stock closed at $329.17 on Oct 26 and is down 14.1% over three months (, Oct 26, 2026). It has lagged, so there is more room for a re-rating, but the financing entanglement is a risk.
- AMD (AMD) has a more than $20B Anthropic commitment for MI450-based Helios systems starting in 2027. AMD also agreed to buy up to $5B of Anthropic stock, so it has both a customer and an equity angle.
- NVIDIA (NVDA) wins on volume. It closed at $216.00 on Oct 26 with a $5.22T market cap. Anthropic’s biggest chip bet is on TPUs, though, so the multi-chip strategy could pressure Nvidia’s pricing power over time.
Tier 2: Mixed Winners
- Amazon.com (AMZN) has invested about $18B. Its convertible notes could convert into up to 1.84B Anthropic shares, about 10.9% of fully diluted shares, so a high IPO price means a large mark-up. Anthropic has also committed $110B in spend to Amazon. It closed at $249.09 on Oct 26 and is down 5.2% over one week.
- Microsoft (MSFT) has a $44.9B compute commitment. It is already up 36.9% over three months, so some of the good news may be priced in.
- SpaceX (SPCX) could earn about $37B a year from Anthropic’s compute. Contracts can be canceled on 90 days’ notice once the initial terms end in early 2027.
Amazon, Alphabet and Microsoft are also Anthropic’s competitors. The three together channeled 48% of Anthropic’s first-half revenue through their marketplaces. The filing says they could favor their own models.
Second-Order Plays
The same analysis flags HBM memory makers, which the filing names as suppliers, as a quieter way to play the build-out. It also names power and cooling, networking and optics as likely beneficiaries. Those companies aren’t named in the filing, so that part is inference. On the other side, seat-based software could be pressured as Anthropic moves into applications.
What Could Go Wrong
- Valuation reset: Investors’ valuation range has dropped from about $2T to about $1.5T. A debut that disappoints could hit the AI trade rather than help it.
- Financial strain: The first-half net loss was $80.7B, though $72B of it came from non-cash adjustments. About 20% of revenue comes from just two customers (, Oct 20, 2026).
- Lock-up expiry: The expiry could move the stakeholders’ marks either way.
- Possible delay: The IPO has already slipped from earlier plans.
