Top Fintech and Crypto Stocks: Moness Crespi Hardt’s Picks

Moness Crespi Hardt has identified top fintech and crypto stocks positioned to perform well amid a shifting consumer spending environment. The firm expects consumer spending growth to slow as wage income decelerates and the savings rate remains near historical lows. US consumers are currently outspending their income growth by approximately 1.5 percentage points, funded by a savings rate of 4.1 percent compared to 5.2 percent a year ago. The firm forecasts nominal personal consumption expenditures at 4.5 percent for 2027, slightly below consensus expectations of 4.6 percent. Moness Crespi Hardt favors companies whose share gains and cash generation can sustain returns under slower spending conditions, while remaining cautious on names whose earnings depend on continued volume, pricing, or credit-cost tailwinds.

1. Adyen

Moness Crespi Hardt names Adyen as a top pick in the fintech space. The payment processor trades at approximately 16 times forward earnings, below the S&P 500 for the first time since its 2018 listing, despite delivering over 20 percent growth. The firm views this as a case where expectations rather than earnings have reset, creating an attractive entry point. Adyen benefits from the increasingly complex payments environment, particularly as artificial intelligence reshapes commerce. The company's value proposition strengthens if orchestration capabilities translate to higher authorization rates, improved merchant retention, and better risk and identity attachment.

2. Remitly Global

The firm identifies RELY as its second top pick among share gainers whose economics work in a slower spending environment. Moness Crespi Hardt recommends owning this name as part of a strategy focused on companies that can maintain strong cash generation even as consumer spending moderates. The firm suggests adding to positions in Rely alongside Adyen as core holdings in the fintech sector.

3. Global Payments

GPN trades at approximately 4.5 times forward price-to-earnings ratio, a record low for the company. Moness Crespi Hardt recommends adding GPN opportunistically, noting that earnings have already been cut. The firm views the current valuation as attractive on reset earnings, though it cautions that reset earnings may not represent trough earnings, with a stress case target of approximately $69, representing potential downside of 16 percent from current levels.

4. Square

Moness Crespi Hardt suggests picking off XYZ opportunistically, viewing the company as more catalyst-heavy in the near term. Similar to Wise, the firm notes that following the US listing, a few more checkpoints remain for the market to fully appreciate the company's story, mainly related to access to US banks. The firm recommends watching for compelling entry points as these catalysts develop.

5. Circle

The firm recommends adding to Circle on weakness, particularly for investors with a multi-year investment horizon. Moness Crespi Hardt remains positive on this rate-sensitive name but expresses slightly more caution than previously. The firm views temporary price weakness as an opportunity to build positions in a company that should benefit from longer-term trends in the fintech and crypto sectors.
