The S&P/TSX Composite dropped 1.1 per cent for the trading week ending Friday’s close and is now 14.9 per cent higher for 2026. The benchmark’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 49 leaves it almost exactly at the midpoint between the technically attractive, oversold buy signal of 30 and the RSI sell signal of 70.

There are 15 index constituents with oversold RSIs below 30 this week led by Ballard Power Systems Inc., Energy Fuels Inc., Tilray Brands Inc., Canopy Growth Corp. and Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Co. Copper miners are represented by Capstone Copper Corp., First Quantum Minerals Ltd. and Hudbay Minerals Inc.

There are 19 overbought, technically vulnerable TSX stocks this week. The most overbought stocks are Waste Connections Inc., Open Text Corp., CGI Inc., Thomson Reuters Corp. and Enghouse Systems Ltd.

There are no index constituents showing strong price momentum by hitting new 52-week highs. There are four companies making new lows – Telus Corp., Boardwalk REIT, H&R REIT and Allied Properties REIT.
