Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 1.26%
Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 4.50% or 4.60 points to trade at 105.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 4.09% or 19.50 points to end at 496.30 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.50% or 8.50 points to 348.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EQT AB (ST:EQTAB), which fell 1.18% or 3.70 points to trade at 311.00 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 0.21% or 2.00 points to end at 961.20 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.19% or 0.18 points to 92.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 434 to 279 and 76 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.90% or 1.60 to $85.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.22% or 2.02 to hit $93.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 2.14% or 87.32 to trade at $4,163.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 11.06, while USD/SEK fell 0.22% to 9.69.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 100.91.
