Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.17%
Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.17% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME:IDR), which rose 3.05% or 1.82 points to trade at 61.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) added 2.53% or 0.42 points to end at 17.00 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI) was up 2.07% or 0.41 points to 20.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Acciona (BME:ANA), which fell 2.98% or 6.40 points to trade at 208.20 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) declined 2.74% or 0.73 points to end at 25.87 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) was down 2.60% or 0.54 points to 20.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 95 to 89 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 3.39% or 140.91 to $4,293.51 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.28% or 0.21 to hit $75.56 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.22 to trade at $79.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 99.61.
