Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged

Russia stocks were lower after the close on Saturday, as in the sectors led shares .

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC (MCX:HYDR), which rose 2.89% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.55 at the close. Meanwhile, ROSSETI PJSC (MCX:FEES) unchanged 2.72% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and AK ALROSA PJSC (MCX:ALRS) was up 2.11% or 0.51 points to 24.65 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were VK Company Ltd (MCX:VKCO), which fell 0.57% or 1.35 points to trade at 234.45 at the close. NOVATEK PJSC (MCX:NVTK) declined 0.14% or 1.60 points to end at 1,142.40 and Sberbank Rossii PJSC Pref (MCX:SBER_p) was down 0.10% or 0.29 points to 294.71.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 188 to 34 and 25 ended unchanged.

Shares in Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC (MCX:HYDR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.89% or 0.02 to 0.55.

The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 30.08.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.83% or 34.00 to $4,079.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.20% or 0.18 to hit $90.34 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.54 to trade at $97.75 a barrel.

USD/RUB was up 0.55% to 81.94, while EUR/RUB fell 0.16% to 91.28.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 102.18.
