Rovi shares rise 8% after raising 2026 revenue outlook
Laboratorios Farmacéuticos Rovi SA shares climbed 8% today after the company increased its full-year revenue guidance and reported better-than-expected results for the first nine months of 2026.
The Spanish pharmaceutical company posted operating revenue of €610.2 million for the nine-month period, a 16% increase that exceeded analyst expectations of €578.1 million. The growth was led by the contract development and manufacturing business.
Rovi lifted its 2026 operating revenue guidance to mid-to-high single-digit percentage growth from its prior forecast of low-to-mid single-digit growth. The company attributed the revision to stronger anticipated performance in its CDMO operations and improved trends in its low-molecular-weight heparin business.
Total revenue for the period reached €633.7 million, up 19% from €534.1 million in the same period last year. CDMO sales increased 45% to €263.9 million, while specialty pharma revenue grew 1% to €346.1 million.
Sales of Okedi rose 29% to €53.0 million. The heparin franchise recorded a 5% decline to €180.9 million, which the company said resulted from elevated inventory levels at partner companies.
Gross profit grew 26% to €443.7 million, with gross margin widening to 72.7% from 67.1% a year earlier. The company said the improvement came from CDMO results, increased Okedi sales, and lower costs for raw materials.
EBITDA increased 52% to €226.6 million, which included a €62.4 million gain from the April acquisition of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona from Bristol Myers Squibb. Without this gain, EBITDA rose 10% to €164.3 million with a margin of 26.9%. Net profit increased 67% to €162.8 million.
Rovi said it will release its 2027 guidance when it reports full-year 2026 results in February 2027.
