Roblox stock tumbles 8% on weak concurrent user data

Roblox Corp (NYSE:RBLX) shares fell 8% on Monday following analyst commentary on weak concurrent user trends from RoMonitor data.

The stock declined after Citi noted that data from RoMonitor showed average peak concurrent users (CCUs) reached 15.3 million, down 5% YoY, despite the release of Grow a Garden 2 last week. The firm indicated that CCU trends remain consistent with the low end of its second quarter fiscal 2026 bookings guidance range of $1.55 billion to $1.61 billion.

Jefferies analysts provided additional data showing platform CCUs were virtually flat week-over-week on Saturday during peak gaming hours. The firm’s analysis of Grow a Garden 2 showed Saturday week-over-week data was up slightly, while Sunday was virtually flat, with peaks this weekend coming in lower than the previous week.

The gaming platform’s user engagement metrics are closely watched by analysts as a leading indicator of bookings performance. The latest data suggests softer-than-expected growth in concurrent users, which may pressure near-term revenue expectations.

Roblox operates an online entertainment platform that allows users to create and play games created by other users. The company generates revenue primarily through the sale of virtual currency used within its platform.
