Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.08%
Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO), which rose 1.46% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.09 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) added 1.46% or 0.09 points to end at 6.27 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was up 1.01% or 0.04 points to 3.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.78% or 0.24 points to trade at 13.22 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.08% or 0.05 points to end at 4.56 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was down 1.04% or 0.05 points to 4.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.32% or 0.25 to $79.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $75.61 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 3.41% or 141.74 to trade at $4,294.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 99.62.
