Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.42%

Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Banking and Mining sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Zellidja S.A (CSE:ZDJ), which rose 6.34% or 13.70 points to trade at 229.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR) added 3.24% or 5.90 points to end at 187.90 and Afric Industries Sa (CSE:AFI) was up 2.28% or 7.40 points to 332.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Managem (CSE:MNG), which fell 3.59% or 49.00 points to trade at 1,315.00 at the close. Societe des Boissons du Maroc SA (CSE:SBM) declined 3.09% or 67.00 points to end at 2,100.00 and CDM (CSE:CDM) was down 2.91% or 29.00 points to 967.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 32 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.76% or 1.45 to $81.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.52% or 2.16 to hit $83.71 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.10% or 44.70 to trade at $4,032.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 10.66, while USD/MAD rose 0.41% to 9.39.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 101.25.
