Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 1.04%

Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Beverage and Transport sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 1.04%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Managem (CSE:MNG), which rose 2.46% or 42.00 points to trade at 1,752.00 at the close. Meanwhile, CIH (CSE:CIH) added 2.37% or 8.00 points to end at 345.00 and Afriquia Gaz (CSE:GAZ) was up 2.16% or 79.00 points to 3,740.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC), which fell 7.55% or 4.49 points to trade at 55.01 at the close. Zellidja S.A (CSE:ZDJ) declined 4.39% or 14.00 points to end at 305.00 and Atlanta (CSE:ATL) was down 3.90% or 4.95 points to 122.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 32 to 19 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Atlanta (CSE:ATL) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.90% or 4.95 to 122.00.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.60% or 1.46 to $92.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.32% or 1.26 to hit $96.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.97% or 131.06 to trade at $4,545.66 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.00% to 10.84, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.36.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 98.96.
