Italy stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.89%

Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.89%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Lottomatica Group SpA (BIT:LTMC), which rose 5.77% or 1.32 points to trade at 24.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) added 4.21% or 0.19 points to end at 4.70 and Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) was up 2.79% or 0.21 points to 7.76 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which fell 1.72% or 1.44 points to trade at 82.44 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) declined 1.69% or 0.10 points to end at 5.70 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was down 1.46% or 0.75 points to 50.64.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 403 to 288 and 52 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.33% or 0.30 to $91.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.09 to hit $95.54 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.78% or 122.56 to trade at $4,537.16 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.03% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 98.94.
