Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.39%

Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr), which rose 4.15% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:INLIFr) added 2.88% or 0.22 points to end at 7.86 and Orilina Properties AEEAP (AT:ORILINAr) was up 2.46% or 0.02 points to 0.83 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA), which fell 2.44% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.40 at the close. Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) declined 2.43% or 0.11 points to end at 4.41 and Titan SA (AT:TITCr) was down 2.07% or 1.00 points to 47.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 46 and 22 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 14.65 to $4,166.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.36% or 1.35 to hit $97.67 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.55% or 1.70 to trade at $108.16 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.75.
