Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 1.07%

Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.07%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Hiab Oyj (HE:HIAB), which rose 11.17% or 5.95 points to trade at 59.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 4.08% or 1.12 points to end at 28.56 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 3.57% or 0.71 points to 20.58 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which fell 3.07% or 1.48 points to trade at 46.72 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 2.34% or 0.22 points to end at 9.17 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was down 2.30% or 0.36 points to 15.28.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 61 and 28 ended unchanged.

Shares in KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.07% or 1.48 to 46.72.

Brent oil for September delivery was up 2.31% or 2.10 to $93.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.04% or 1.72 to hit $86.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 2.15% or 87.55 to trade at $4,163.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 100.91.
