Webull’s Canadian unit will let clients connect their brokerage accounts to AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok, to research markets, review portfolios, and place trades using plain-language prompts, Investing.com has learned.
Webull Securities (Canada), a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Webull Corporation (BULL), said the integration runs on Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants work with other applications, and needs no programming knowledge.
Users in Canada will be able to access real-time market data, check balances and positions, analyze portfolios and prepare orders from within the chat.
The AI assistant can prepare an order, but nothing is executed until the investor reviews and confirms it on Webull, the company said. Rollout to all eligible accounts is expected to be complete by early November.
The move extends Webull’s push into AI-driven trading beyond the United States, where it recently expanded a similar cloud-based service letting users prepare trades through AI assistants.
“Advanced market research used to take expensive tools or hours of work. Today, Canadian investors can run that analysis on their portfolios, in their own words,” said Michael Constantino, chief executive of Webull Canada.
The launch comes weeks after a U.S. House committee report criticized Webull’s links to China, findings the company has disputed.
Webull’s global platform is said to have more than 29 million registered users. Webull Corporation's shares have fallen 30.6% year to date.
