Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.39%

Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which rose 0.72% or 120.00 points to trade at 16,710.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 0.53% or 90.00 points to end at 17,200.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 0.34% or 1.10 points to 306.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 2.63% or 25.00 points to trade at 924.40 at the close. Rockwool AS B (CSE:ROCKb) declined 2.50% or 6.00 points to end at 226.00 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 1.90% or 8.30 points to 429.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 72 to 50 and 18 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.85% or 3.01 to $81.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.87% or 3.23 to hit $86.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 9.25 to trade at $4,408.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.09% to 6.47, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.48.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.61.
