Belgium stocks lower at close of trade; BEL 20 down 0.20%

Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB), which rose 1.54% or 2.70 points to trade at 177.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) added 1.17% or 0.80 points to end at 69.15 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was up 0.90% or 0.42 points to 47.06 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ageas (EBR:AGES), which fell 1.73% or 1.25 points to trade at 71.10 at the close. Lotus Bakeries (EBR:LOTB) declined 1.44% or 160.00 points to end at 10,960.00 and Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) was down 1.30% or 0.34 points to 25.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 51 to 37 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.03% or 1.20 to $4,020.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.57% or 0.47 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.20 to trade at $87.90 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.82.
