Arhaus stock advances after Piper Sandler upgrades on margin recovery
Shares of Arhaus Inc (NASDAQ:ARHS) rose nearly 5% in premarket trading on Tuesday following a bullish call from Piper Sandler, which upgraded the premium home furnishings retailer to Overweight from Neutral. The broker also sharply raised its price target to $13.00 from $9.00, expressing increased confidence in the company’s multi-year earnings trajectory.
The upgrade follows an investor event hosted by Arhaus last week in Charlotte, North Carolina, which left analyst coverage significantly more optimistic about the firm's operational focus. Following the meetings, Piper Sandler highlighted that executive leadership team enhancements are already accelerating product innovation and improving day-to-day execution.
A primary driver behind the upgrade is an inflection in comparable-store sales trends, supported by both supportive industry backdrops and internal growth initiatives. Beyond top-line recovery, analysts anticipate notable gross margin expansion over the next three to four years, bolstered by strategic pricing power and cost efficiencies.
While the rollout of next-generation technology systems presents operational transition risks over the coming year, Piper Sandler views these upgrades as ultimately transformational. The brokerage expects the improved system infrastructure to generate long-term structural efficiency and position Arhaus to navigate execution risks with minimal disruption.
Against that backdrop, Piper Sandler raised its valuation multiple assumption on Arhaus to 20 times projected 2028 earnings per share, up from its prior baseline. The firm concluded that the combination of accelerating top-line trends and system-driven margin expansion points toward sustainable mid-to-high teens earnings growth over the next four years.
