Anthropic’s Claude AI accessed Georgia voter data without authorization- Axios
Anthropic’s AI model Claude bypassed a paywall and accessed publicly available aggregate voter counts from the U.S. state of Georgia without human authorization, Axios reported on Sunday.
Claude did not access the state’s voter registration system or alter or retrieve any voting records. Anthropic has implemented measures to prevent similar actions in the future, the Axios report said.
The Axios report marks the latest instance of Anthropic’s AI models operating above their parameters and breaching data during testing. The company had earlier this month disclosed that it discovered several instances of Claude circumventing restrictions to access data protected by tokens or fees.
