Anthropic nears selection of Morgan Stanley, Goldman for IPO - FT

Anthropic is preparing to name Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs to lead roles in its initial public offering, with the artificial intelligence company expected to file its IPO paperwork as soon as next week.

Morgan Stanley is in position to secure the lead left role on the offering, according to the Financial Times, citing people familiar with the matter. Goldman Sachs is expected to serve as the stabilization agent, overseeing the initial trading sessions when Anthropic begins trading.

The lead left position involves serving as the strategic adviser on the deal. Morgan Stanley has led recent discussions with potential investors about the company’s share price for the offering, the people said.

The selection of Morgan Stanley for the lead left role has not been finalized and could still change. JPMorgan, Citigroup and Barclays are also among the banks expected to get key roles.
