Amazon to pause operations with 21Air after deadly crash

 Amazon.com said on Sunday evening it has paused operations with 21Air, the operator of a cargo plane involved in a deadly crash in Miami that killed five last week. 

“After the tragic incident last weekend, we’ve spent time supporting the investigation and reviewing some of the surrounding circumstances, and we’ve decided to pause our operations with 21 Air,” Amazon said in a blog post. 

“We’ll continue working to support the investigation and everyone affected.” 

An Amazon Prime Air cargo flight overran a runway and crashed while landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday. The flight– Prime Air Flight 7598– struck multiple vehicles on the ground and also injured five people in the crash. 

The incident was probed by the National Transportation Safety Board, while Amazon also said it was gathering details on just what happened.
