Aalberts reports third quarter results above expectations
Aalberts N.V. reported third quarter 2026 results on Thursday that exceeded analyst expectations, with EBITA rising 18% to €113.8 million, surpassing the consensus estimate of €110 million.
The company’s organic revenue growth reached 13.0% in the quarter, while the EBITA margin improved by 130 basis points to 13.8%. All three business segments posted positive organic revenue growth and EBITA margin improvements.
The semiconductor division led growth with organic revenue expansion of 34.1%, a sharp acceleration from 16% in the second quarter and 2% in the first quarter. EBITA in the segment more than doubled to €31.2 million, with the margin rising 230 basis points to 15.5%. The growth reflects increased demand for advanced chips used in AI-related infrastructure.
The building segment, which accounts for 50% of fiscal 2025 revenues, saw EBITA increase 11% to €46.8 million. Organic revenue grew 9.3%, with the margin expanding 130 basis points to 12.1%. Strong demand in North America drove results, while Europe showed mixed performance.
The industry segment reported EBITA of €45.5 million, down 8% from the prior year. Organic growth accelerated to 8.6%, driven by aerospace, power generation, and defense sectors, with stable automotive demand. The margin increased 140 basis points to 19.1%. The decline in EBITA reflects the impact of divestitures related to Metalis and Broen.
Aalberts noted positive end market demand in data centers, aerospace, power generation, defense, and semiconductors. Demand in automotive and residential buildings remained stable.
The company maintained its full-year 2026 guidance for improvements in organic growth and EBITA margin, citing a healthy order book and positive momentum.
