In a live interview with Fox News on Saturday, President Trump said that the attack on Venezuela and capturing of dictator Nicolas Maduro “wasn’t meant to be” a warning to President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico.

“We’re very friendly with her, she’s a good woman,” Trump said. “But the cartels are running Mexico — she’s not running Mexico.”

Sheinbaum had repeatedly declined US interventions against the cartels, Trump claimed.

“Something is going to have to be done with Mexico,” the president added.
