Gladstone Investment names Stelljes as lead independent director after Wilkinson resignation

Gladstone Investment Corporation (NASDAQ:GAIN) announced Monday that Walter H. Wilkinson Jr. has resigned from the company’s board of directors, effective immediately. Wilkinson, who joined the board in 2014, had served as lead independent director since 2024.

Following Wilkinson’s departure, the board elected George “Chip” Stelljes, III to succeed him as lead independent director, effective Monday. In connection with the changes, the board set the number of directors at seven, also effective Monday.

These details are based on a statement from a press release filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In other recent news, Gladstone Investment Corporation reported impressive first-quarter results for fiscal 2026, surpassing analyst expectations. The company achieved earnings of $0.40 per share on revenue of $28.36 million, significantly exceeding the projected $0.218 per share and $26.16 million in revenue. This performance was driven by a notable increase in net investment income, supported by higher investment income and reduced expenses.
