Edesa Biotech approves executive salary increases retroactive to July

Edesa Biotech, Inc. (NASDAQ:EDSA) announced Friday that its Board of Directors approved increases in the annual base salaries for its top executives, effective retroactively to July 1, 2026. The decision was made following a recommendation from the company’s Compensation Committee.

According to a statement released by the company, the annual base salary for Chief Executive Officer Dr. Pardeep Nijhawan will increase from $357,696 to $657,423. President Dr. Michael Brooks will see his salary rise from $335,340 to $591,681. Chief Financial Officer Peter Weiler’s base salary will increase from $300,000 to $525,938. The last adjustment to these executive salaries was made in 2023.

Edesa Biotech also stated that 90% of Dr. Nijhawan’s monthly base salary, which would otherwise be paid in cash, will continue to be issued as fully vested restricted share units under the company’s 2019 Equity Incentive Compensation Plan.

The details of these compensatory arrangements are outlined in the executives’ employment agreements, which are filed as exhibits to the company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended September 30, 2025.

Edesa Biotech is incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, and its common shares are listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker EDSA. The information in this article is based on a press release statement included in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
