Gucci-clad Nicki Minaj joins Trump in Michigan — as aide jokes rapper is in for huge White House job
Despite not being able to vote in the US herself, Minaj has embraced President Trump's agenda and urged young Americans to vote Republican in this year's midterm elections.
Rapper Nicki Minaj joined President Trump in Michigan for a rally on Sunday, decked out in head-to-toe Gucci — as one of Trump’s top aides joked she could fill a very high-profile vacancy in the White House.
The “Super Bass” hitmaker was spotted walking alongside Trump as they stepped off Air Force One at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, marking another high-profile appearance alongside the president.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung, who is known for trolling people on social media, shared a video of Minaj arriving with Trump and playfully suggesting she could be headed to the briefing room.
“I think we may have found the next White House Press Secretary!” Cheung wrote.

The post comes after Katie Zachariah resigned from the position just five days into the job.
Minaj, a vocal Trump supporter, has increasingly embraced the president, making appearances alongside him and praising his economic agenda.

The rapper has previously voiced support for Trump’s policies, helping cement her status as an unlikely ally in the president’s celebrity-heavy support system.
Minaj was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and moved to the US as a child. She’s a permanent resident, but it’s not clear whether she has become an American citizen — and therefore able to vote.
