Pro Silver Star Ltd., the owner of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC), filed for a temporary restraining order and temporary injunction against My Chemical Romance (MCR) Friday. The legal documents, obtained by the California Post, accused MCR of degrading the DCC brand.

MCR staged “The Black Parade,” a theatrical concert set in a fictional dictatorship featuring pyrotechnics and simulated gun battles at the Hollywood Bowl on October 21, 2026.

During the performance, female dancers dressed in blue and white uniforms, similar to those of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, appeared onstage carrying rifles before being gunned down in a staged shootout, according to the lawsuit filed by attorney Alex Spiro.

“The costumed performers armed themselves with semi-automatic rifles and joined a staged firefight, and were then depicted being shot and crawling off the stage,” according to documents.

The papers claim the stunt fooled concertgoers and social media users into believing the performers were actual Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, sparking online posts that continue to circulate.

“Silver Star does not ask Defendants to change their setlist, narrative, politics, choreography, or even their decision to put gun-toting performers on stage. Silver Star asks only that those performers not wear the DCC Uniform while doing it,” the documents said.

“The universe of alternative costume designs is effectively unlimited,” the filing continued.

DCC’s legal filing also included a side-by-side comparison of an official cheerleader uniform and one worn during the concert, along with social media screenshots of fans who appeared to mistake the performers for real Cowboys cheerleaders.

A cease-and-desist letter was sent to MCR on October 22, and the petition says defendants continued anyway. The documents also mention the DCC uniform is federally registered.

MCR has additional shows coming up at The Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 23, Oct. 24, Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.
