3 Stocks That Could Take Off Very Soon
Market Analysis by Daniel Pernas covering: Waters Corporation, EchoStar Corporation, Graphic Packaging Holding Company. Read Daniel Pernas's Market Analysis
Three stocks offer bullish potential, but not all have confirmed their next move.
Waters leads the group, while EchoStar and Graphic Packaging await key breakouts.
The next opportunities may depend less on upside targets and more on timing.
The most interesting opportunities are often the ones that have not fully triggered yet. A stock can have significant upside potential on the chart, but until the relevant resistance breaks, the bullish scenario remains conditional. That is the common feature across EchoStar, Waters, and Graphic Packaging: one already has active targets, while the other two are approaching levels that could transform their technical structures.
The broader market backdrop is also supportive. The final two months of the year have historically been favorable for equities, although seasonality is never a certainty. That tailwind does not replace technical confirmation, but it creates a more constructive environment for stocks already building bullish structures.
Where the Stocks Come From
The ProPicks strategies have held up well this year. Mid-Cap Movers, which focuses on US mid-sized companies, is up 47% this year and has historically averaged an annualized return of close to 20%. More than 80 strategies cover markets beyond the US.

For investors who want to run their own version of the first filter, WarrenAI, Investing.com’s AI assistant, works well as a screener.
A prompt can ask it for a list of companies that meet specific conditions, such as a minimum level of revenue growth, earnings growth, or a price above its moving average. It can also summarize unfamiliar companies and run technical analysis.
Here are the 3 stocks that combine a place in the ProPicks AI strategies with a technical setup close to a key breakout level:
1. EchoStar Needs to Reclaim 102.46 Before the Bullish Case Improves
EchoStar Corporation has already shown how powerful its chart can become once a large bullish pattern activates. The stock previously broke out of a large rectangle and then produced a very vertical advance, eventually reaching a high around 147.25. Since then, the correction has been severe, but it has also become proportionate to the previous rally: the decline has now reached the 50% Fibonacci retracement of that move.
That makes the current area important. The stock is trying to stop falling near this retracement zone, while 82.48 stands out as the first major support. The problem is that the daily chart is not yet fully constructive because the 200-day moving average is still trending downward. That moving average therefore acts as an important resistance zone rather than support.

The first meaningful positive signal would come from a break above Tuesday’s high at 102.46. A move through that level would activate a double-bottom target around 117.40. That would not solve every technical problem, but it would be the first evidence that the correction is turning into a reversal rather than merely pausing.
The next major obstacle sits around 121.80, corresponding to the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of the latest decline. Clearing that level would improve the path toward a retest of the all-time high at 147.25. The 200-day moving average would also need to stop declining and begin turning upward if the stock is going to develop a healthier medium-term structure.
Only after a future breakout above 147.25 would the much larger bullish scenario become relevant. A second-impulse projection would then point toward roughly 211, almost double the current price area discussed in the analysis. That target is still a long way from activation, so the practical level to watch now is 102.46 rather than the long-term projection.
For the moment, caution remains appropriate. A reaction lower from the moving-average area would not be surprising. If the double bottom does activate, a small initial position could be considered depending on the investment plan, with the stop below 82.48.

2. Waters Already Has Two Active Bullish Targets
Waters is the most advanced setup of the four because its bullish targets are already active. Despite the recent gains, the chart still shows room for further upside. The first active projection comes from a rectangle breakout and points toward approximately 546.42. A second target, based on an upward breakout from a triangle, remains pending around 624.

The technical picture is strong because the stock is trading at all-time highs rather than trying to recover from a damaged trend. That gives Waters a different profile from EchoStar, Graphic Packaging or REA. The bullish structure has already been confirmed; the main question is whether the current trend can continue without losing its support levels.
The first support is the rising trendline coming from the lows. Below that, the previous-high zone between roughly 414 and 428 becomes important. A deeper correction would bring the daily moving-average area and the Fibonacci retracement levels of the latest rally into play.
Those supports matter because a stock trading at all-time highs can continue climbing without offering a deep pullback, but once momentum breaks, the nearest structural levels become the guide for whether the trend is merely correcting or genuinely weakening. Waters remains technically strong as long as those supports continue to hold and the active targets remain valid.
The advantage here is that there is no need to speculate about whether a bullish pattern will activate. It already has. The trade is therefore about trend continuation and support management rather than waiting for a breakout trigger.

3. Graphic Packaging Is Trying to Turn a 21% Surge Into a Trend Change
Graphic Packaging is much earlier in its potential reversal, but Tuesday’s session produced the first clear sign of improvement. The stock opened a powerful bullish gap and closed almost at the session high, finishing with a gain of 21.22%. A single strong day does not confirm a new trend, but it is meaningful enough to justify closer attention.

The weekly chart is where the setup becomes more interesting. Price has been making lower lows while the indicators have been making higher lows, with the potential divergence especially visible in the MACD. The word “potential” matters because the divergence is not yet confirmed.
The confirmation level is 12.10. A weekly close above that price would activate the divergence and produce a minimum bullish target around 15.32. Until 12.10 breaks, the stock has shown an encouraging reaction but not a completed bullish signal.
The 200-day moving average is another part of the setup. For the move to develop into a healthier trend, that average also needs to turn upward. A stock can rebound sharply while its longer-term average continues to decline, but a sustained bullish phase becomes more convincing when the average itself begins to change direction.
The most reasonable expectation is therefore not to assume the full target will be reached immediately, but to watch whether the stock can at least test 12.10 and then close above it. If that happens, the divergence target at 15.32 becomes active. If the stock fails at resistance, the bullish gap remains an isolated improvement rather than proof of a larger reversal.

The Three Setups Are at Very Different Stages
The most important difference between these stocks is not their theoretical upside; it is how much technical confirmation each one has already produced. Waters is the most advanced because both bullish targets are already active and the stock is trading at all-time highs. EchoStar has corrected deeply enough to become interesting, but it still needs to reclaim 102.46 before the first bullish target activates. Graphic Packaging has delivered a powerful gap but must close above 12.10 to confirm the weekly divergence.
That distinction changes how each opportunity should be approached. Waters is a trend-continuation setup, so support levels matter most. EchoStar is a reversal attempt after a major correction, which means the first breakout and the direction of the 200-day moving average are critical. Graphic Packaging is an early-stage divergence setup where a weekly close matters more than one strong session.
The common lesson is that a projected target is useful only after the structure behind it has been activated. EchoStar’s 211 objective is not the current trade; 102.46 is. Graphic Packaging’s 15.32 target is not active until 12.10 breaks.
What Investors Should Watch Next
EchoStar needs to break 102.46 and then deal with the falling 200-day moving average and the 121.80 Fibonacci resistance. A move through those levels would progressively improve the probability of a retest of 147.25, while a future breakout above the high would activate the much larger target near 211.
Waters remains the strongest chart because the trend is already confirmed. The main focus is whether the stock continues respecting its rising trendline and the 414-428 support zone while working toward 546.42 and potentially 624.
Graphic Packaging needs a weekly close above 12.10. That would turn the current potential divergence into a confirmed one and activate the minimum objective near 15.32. Until then, Tuesday’s bullish gap should be treated as the first improvement rather than the finished signal.
The advantage of these three setups is that the market itself can provide the confirmation. There is no need to predict which stock will move first. Waters is already in motion, while EchoStar, and Graphic Packaging each have a specific level that can tell investors when the technical picture has materially improved.
