Japan’s currency diplomat warns of ongoing yen market concerns

Japan’s vice finance minister for international affairs said Thursday that authorities maintain a heightened state of alert regarding currency market developments, signaling continued concern over yen movements.

Atsushi Mimura, Japan’s top currency diplomat, declined to comment on specific currency levels or market movements. He stated he was "neither satisfied nor reassured" by recent developments in the foreign exchange market.

"We remain on a state of heightened alert," Mimura said.
