CFI Financial Group reported $3.45 trillion in notional trading volume for the third quarter, up about 123% from a year earlier, the Dubai-based company said today (Monday). It is the highest quarterly total CFI has published and 14% above its second-quarter figure.

Volume for the first nine months reached $8.8 trillion, roughly double the same period of 2025, according to CFI.

That is already more than a third above its full-year 2025 total of $6.4 trillion. The figures cover trading across CFI's licensed entities and are reported by the company itself.

London's trading industry is coming home!

CFI was one of three brokers whose volumes rose in the second quarter, when aggregated monthly volume across brokers tracked by FM Intelligence fell 9.3% from the first quarter to $30.4 trillion.

A New High in Each Quarter of 2026

The company has reported a higher total in every quarter this year. CFI posted $2.3 trillion for the first quarter, up 11% from the fourth quarter of 2025, and then $3.03 trillion for the second, a quarterly increase of 31%.

The third-quarter gain of 14% was smaller than in the spring. Year-on-year growth rose over the same stretch, from 81% in the first quarter to 101% in the second and 123% in the third.

CFI said quarterly volume has nearly tripled since early 2025. By FinanceMagnates.com's calculation from the company's growth rates, the first quarter of 2025 came to about $1.28 trillion.

Ziad Melhem, group chief executive of CFI, said the company sees "considerable opportunity ahead" in expanding its reach and deepening its presence in the markets it already serves.

How the Totals Compare With Other Brokers

Brokers that publish their own turnover give a rough sense of scale. VT Markets reported $8 trillion for the first half of 2026, against $5.34 trillion at CFI over the same six months, while Capital.com's second-quarter volume was $1.13 trillion, about 37% of CFI's $3.03 trillion.

The largest firms in FM Intelligence data run higher. EC Markets and TMGM each averaged more than $2 trillion a month in the second quarter. CFI's third-quarter total works out to about $1.15 trillion a month, a little over half that level.

FM Intelligence's Broker Volumes tracker covers 265 brokers over 21 quarters, with quarterly volume, active accounts and volume per user for each firm, which allows CFI to be compared with other brokers quarter by quarter.

Trades, Deposits and Weekend Gold

Client activity rose with volume, according to the company. CFI clients executed 90 million trades in the third quarter, twice as many as a year earlier.

The number of deposit transactions rose 60% year on year in the quarter and 43% over the nine months. In the second quarter, CFI said metals drew the most trading activity, followed by equity indices.

CFI also pointed to its seven-day gold CFD launched on October 1 under the ticker XAUUSD-24H, which runs alongside its other extended-hours products.

That made CFI the most recent of at least 19 firms to announce a weekend or 24/7 gold product between February and October 1, according to FM Intelligence's count of dated announcements.

Federico Cirulli became chairman of the board, and François du Plessis was named country chief executive of CFI South Africa, the company said.

Founded in 1998, CFI operates from London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Cape Town, Bogotá and other centers, and in April it secured a brokerage license in Brazil.
